About Us

Hi, my name is Leannah, and I am an animal lover and a certified professional dog trainer. Like many animal lovers, I am dismayed by the overwhelming number of dogs, cats, and other pets entering animal shelters and rescue groups every year. Despite increased public awareness, frequent waiving of adoption fees, marketing of adoptable animals, and an abundance of adoption events, animal shelters are overflowing, and the cycle of pet homelessness continues at an alarming rate. In my everyday work as a positive reinforcement dog trainer, I am frequently struck by the lack of understanding in the general public about animal behavior and the mental, emotional and physical needs of dogs and cats. In 2022, I decided to share my ideas with a group of fellow animal lovers about a non-profit animal welfare organization specializing in humane education. With their support and valuable input, People 4 Pets Texas was born!

People 4 Pets Texas is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal welfare organization, organized for charitable and educational purposes, serving the communities of Central Texas.

Meet our dog training professionals

Our professional dog trainers have a combined 25 years of hands-on experience working with dogs of all temperaments and backgrounds, supported by professional certifications and continuing education in canine behavior areas of study.

  • Gabriella’s passion for dog training first sparked when she adopted her dog Floyd 8 years ago. While trying to gain a better understanding of his behavioral hurdles, she knew she wanted to help dogs and their owners gain a better relationship through positive training.

Gabriella has experience working in dog boarding, shelter environments, and training centers. She has gained an abundance of knowledge in her past 6 years in the dog training industry, and strives to continue her education to provide the best experience for her clients.

  • Audrey became interested in dog training when she got her dog, Ruby. At 5 months old, Ruby struggled with separation anxiety, and Audrey wanted to learn the best ways to help her through it.

Through helping Ruby, Audrey found her passion for dog training. Since then she has worked under multiple trainers, become certified and gained lots of experience with many types of dogs. She values teaching both people and dogs how to learn from each other to better their lives together.
