We need Socialization Ambassadors!

When it comes to socialization, it takes a village! That’s why we need a diverse group of people who are united by one thing - a love of animals and a desire to help prevent pet homelessness, to volunteer a few hours per month, to help with our puppy classes. Puppies need to see, hear, smell, and touch a large variety of people when they are young, including children, older adults, men, women, different skin colors, different hair types, different forms of dress, different abilities, etc. By just showing up, following some basic instructions, and being yourself, you can help puppies grow into calm and confident adult dogs! Bonus: free puppy kisses!

Here are a few of the important ways people can help us with our mission:

  • Apprentice dog trainers to assist with puppy and dog training classes. Must have some kind of experience working with dogs, but you don’t have to have trainer experience!

  • Puppy and kitten socialization ambassadors to assist with socialization classes

  • Volunteer photographer or videographer (professional or amateur) to help us with making educational videos and materials. If you cannot volunteer, if you can offer us a discount off of your professional services, please get in touch with us!

  • Assist with humane education presentations in k-12 schools, veterinary clinics, and other venues

  • Spanish language interpreters

  • Volunteer feline behavior consultants (or anyone with extensive knowledge of and experience with behavior of domestic cats)

  • Assist with events

  • Assist with fundraising projects
